Day 1 London

09/05/2015

We started the day with Starbucks, of course.  We found the Starbucks about 1-2 blocks from the hotel.  This looks like it will be where we plan our day, every morning while in London. As with most trips you forget something, and we forgot our Rick Steve book, so we toke a short ride on the Tube to a local book store and bought a replacement. From there we went to the Westminster and saw Big Ben.  The crowd was so heavy in this area we quickly took off and walked down Whitehall Street and saw #10 Downing and finally ended up at the Churchill’s War Room. From there we walked to Trafalgar’s Square and just looked around at the fabulous architecture, which one of the things that really catches my eye. The hotel, Nadler-Kensington (They are known as the Residence Hotels), is very modern in an old row-house building.  It is in nice area with plenty of restaurants and shops just a block away on Earl's Court. Note: There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are several just a block or two away.
